Lists are film collections you curate, alone or with friends as collaborators. Save other members' lists to keep them in your Lists tab, turn on Private to keep a list yours alone, and share one with a link.

The details

"New list" asks for a name, a description and a cover, with two switches: "Ranked", which numbers the films in a best-to-worst order, and "Private", so only you can see the list. Unlike your rankings, which Gasper orders for you from head-to-heads, a list is ordered by you for a reason: a marathon lineup, a subgenre done properly, a gentle on-ramp for a friend who scares easily. You can view it as a list or a grid, and each film on it links to its page, with the trailer, where to watch it, the Community Scare and the Rank button.

Open "Collaborators" and tap "Invite" to add people you follow; anyone on the list can then add films, which makes it the right tool for a group's October schedule or a film club's record. Save any member's list and it stays under "Saved" in your Lists tab. "Share list" sends a link.

Featured lists are a small set Gasper highlights on the "Featured lists" shelf in Discover, useful when you want somewhere to start and do not yet follow anyone whose taste you trust.

What lists do not do

Adding a film to a list does not rank it, log it or give it a score. To rank from a list, open the film and tap Rank. A list does not change the Community Scare either; putting a film first on "Scariest I have seen" is a statement, not an input. A list is never posted to the feed.

Lists cannot be imported from other services. Build them here, a film at a time. In practice a list of twenty takes a few minutes, and the search is fast.

The lists feature page has ideas for lists worth making. The horror marathon guide is built around a collaborative one, and the ranking with friends guide covers using a shared list to run a weekly watch.
