Delete your account

Delete your Gasper account from Settings by typing DELETE. It erases your rankings, follows, comments and likes from our servers and cannot be undone

Settings, then "Delete account". You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. It permanently erases your account, rankings, follows, comments and likes from our servers and cannot be undone.

The details

Deletion is immediate and complete. Your rankings, every scare score and heart, your follows and followers, your comments and your likes are removed, along with everything else attached to the account. Any contribution you made to a film's Community Scare was always an anonymous part of an average, and it is not recoverable as yours afterward.

There is no grace period and no recovery. If you type DELETE, it is gone. If you want a break rather than an ending, log out instead, or turn on Private account and leave it.

Before you delete

If the reason is a bug, a wrong score or something in the community, write to support@gasperapp.com first, or use "Contact support" in Settings; most problems are fixable, and deleted rankings are not. If someone is bothering you, blocking and reporting are quieter than leaving, and the help entry on block and report has the steps.

The privacy policy describes what Gasper stores and why. Privacy controls covers the quieter options: Stealth mode, a private account, and blocking.
